New Hampshire Gold Money Bill
On October 4, 2004, Rep. Henry W. McElroy filed a then newly revised Gold and Silver Coin and Electronic Currency Bill for the 2004/2005 session of the New Hampshire General Court. The bill was drafted by Edwin Vieira Jr., Ph.D., J.D., Manassas, Virginia, author of "Pieces of Eight: The Monetary Powers and Disabilities of the United States Constitution." The revised version of the bill is focused on the digital currency aspect in the use of Gold and Silver by the State of New Hampshire and its inhabitants in transactions with each other. Under the bill, payment of the Tobacco Tax by means of such digital currency is mandatory. All other taxes may optionally be paid in gold or silver digital currency.
